Yesterday we kicked off our revised Hospital Outreach Program (HOP) at Portsmouth Behavioral Health Unit. The presentation was more interactive, incorporating art therapy and fostering an open forum approach. Members created original pieces of work and left them on the unit for patients to take.
Additionally, we brought our trifold of various pictures and events to show that we include fun into the work ordered day.
A Pathways member is working hard on posters to be displayed throughout the hospital. He is producing some excellent work. His original posters will be in many locations including the ER, BHU, waiting rooms and other places where patients, staff and families will frequent.
This partnership with Portsmouth Hospital increases our visibility and outreach efforts. The hospital recognizes our proven success and wants more individuals to find recovery in our clubhouse.
